We have restored several historic properties throughout New England, including the 1865 Greek Neoclassical former Savings Bank of Ansonia building (our corporate headquarters in Connecticut) and Goose Rocks Lighthouse in the Fox Island Thorofare of North Haven, Maine.  Our latest acquisition, the Penfield Reef Light off of Bridgeport, Connecticut, will be the place-based learning site of Beacon's new Green Light Academy, a high school level sustainable energy educational program we're planning for Summer 2009.  Check back for more details soon!

Beacon Preservation has more than building restoration in mind.  Our three-fold committment is to our national landmarks, the environments of the lighthouses, and to the surrounding communities.  We were featured on The Today Show with Bob Dotson (fast-forward to 2:20 to see our work on Goose Rocks) and you can also read about us in the March 2009 issue of the "Connecticut Law Tribune" and the December 2007 issue of "Soundings."
